Happy National Volunteering Week 2012 to all our Fantastic and Dedicated Volunteers!

 

 

2012 will see the first ever National Volunteering Week take place from May 14th – May 20th in association with Volunteer Ireland.   National Volunteering Week is the one week of the year when we encourage everyone in Ireland to give volunteering a try, so that everyone can learn  – even if it’s only for a minute, an hour, or a day – volunteering can make a big difference and be a lot of fun!

 

The focus of this year’s events are on “Clean-ups” and clean-up events will be hosted all around the country.  Cork Volunteer Centre is hosting a range of clean-ups and information events to celebrate volunteering and the wonderful contribution of volunteers in Cork and we need all hands on deck to help make National Volunteering Week 2012 a widespread success!!


Cork National Volunteering Week Events


1) Sundays Well Boys National School Cleanup: Tuesday 15th May 2012: 10am – 2pm

2) Belgooly / Kinsale Tidy Towns Spring Clean: Wednesday 16th May 2012: 6.30 – 8pm

3) Information Stand on Volunteering in Tesco Mitchelstown:  Wednesday 16th May 2012:  2 – 5pm.

4) Midleton Community Hospital Gardening Project:  Friday 18th May 2012:  10am – 2pm.

5) DEBRA Ireland Fundraising Event at Fermoy Motorfest:  Sunday 20th May 2012:  1 – 6 pm.
