The Asthma Society of Ireland require stewards to ensure their fun run day passes off safely and everyone has fun as planned.

The fun run will take place on Sunday 26th May from 1p.m., starting from Cork Camogie Club and goes from Lough Mahon to Jacobs Island and back. The run is in memory of a local teenager who sadly passed away earlier this year. All proceeds from the fun run will go to the Asthma Society.

See Change, the National Stigma Reduction Partnership and its 70 partner organisations (including MyMind) will be rolling out a month long national green ribbon campaign to get people talking openly about mental health problems in May 2013.

The aim of this green ribbon is to support a movement to spark a national conversation about mental health.

Following this event, See Change aims to make the month of May every year synonymous with challenging the stigma of mental health.

Green ribbons will be distributed nationwide free of charge and will not be associated with any fundraising activity. The Green Ribbon campaign is simply about raising awareness and challenging the stigma of mental health problems.

The Hope Foundation

The Hope Foundation are looking for volunteers to help out with bucket collections in Carrigaline and Kinsale on Saturday 30th March. On the same day 3 Hope Foundation supporters will be setting off on a 10,000km charity cycle from Kinsale to Kolkata, India. to raise awareness and will be passing through both Kinsale and Carrigaline on their way.
