Cork Volunteer Week 2011 was a tremendous success.  The event was sponsored by Cork City Council and Bord Gais Energy. The Evening Echo and 96fm were the media partners.  Events were organised to mark EYV2011.

The main events throughout the week included:

-Cork Camera Group’s photographic exhibition in New Civic Offices, City Hall, Cork
(exhibited pictures of 13 volunteer involving groups in Cork).

-Cork Volunteer Management Seminar in the Millennium Hall, City Hall, Cork (co-organised by Volunteer Centres Ireland and Cork Volunteer Centre.  80 representatives from voluntary groups attended)

-Relaunch of Cork Volunteer Centre in the Vision Centre.

-The Lord Mayor’s Volunteer Fair (135 voluntary groups exhibited in City Hall, Cork)
