Joanna – Manager & eVetting Liason Officer
Joanna Karolini, joined Cork Volunteer Centre, November 2016, as the Acting Manager covering maternity leave. Joanna holds a MBA from Trinity College, Dublin, MFA and a Ba(Hons)Photography. She has over 13 years of experience working as business owner, independent artist, photography lecturer accumulating experience of leadership, community development, sustainable strategies and business growth. Joanna has an extensive volunteer history and has served on several boards of management committees in Belfast.
Adam joined the team as a Placement Officer in 2016, having previously completed an internship in Carlow Volunteer Centre as a Placement Officer. Adam’s background is mainly in Arts and online technologies. With degrees in Classics, Music and Web development, as well as a cert in Digital Marketing.
Before moving to Cork, Adam volunteered as head leader of a Foróige club, and volunteers regularly with Slapdash Theatre Co. helping with promotions, and social media management.
Marie joined the team in 2005 initially as a placement student as part of her BSocSc (Hons) Youth and Community Work degree at UCC. Marie remained involved with the Centre beyond her placement and became a part-time Placement Officer shortly thereafter. Marie particularly enjoys dealing with the public and in addition to her daily work with individuals and organisations Marie has taken on special responsibility for Training.
Marie volunteers locally as an Adult Literacy Tutor & has extensive experience volunteering with a range of organisations.
Michelle started with Cork Volunteer Centre in 2015 as part of the Tús scheme programme, moving to part-time employment with the centre in 2016.
Michelle has a Master’s Degree in Criminology as well as a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Community Development / Education. She also has experience in volunteering through her time with Cork Life Centre as a volunteer teacher where she mentored students between the ages of 12 – 18.
