Volunteer for Tall Ships Race Dublin 23-26 Aug 2012

Become part of a large team of Volunteers in Dublin, the final host port for The Tall Ships Races and it’s all hands on deck, as volunteers are needed for one of the world’s biggest maritime events of 2012. Tall Ships will form the breath taking backdrop to a 4 day long celebration with a host of free events around the Dublin Docklands area, including live music, exhibitions, street theatre, workshops, markets, fun fairs, and water sports along with plenty of opportunities to board the ships in port and meet the crews.

ISPCC Childline Service Information Evening 2 August

The ISPCC is recruiting for volunteers within its Childline service and in its fundraising department. Interested members of the public are invited to attend an ISPCC Group information and interview meeting on 2 August, 2012. This meeting is a chance to learn more about the Society and to be fully informed as to what is involved in becoming a volunteer, the commitment required and training involved. Cork voluntary group are seeking participants for the Evening Echo Mini Marathon been held on Sun 16th Sept 2012 1pm Start Centre park Road Distance 4 miles !

We have a bus organised to bring our participants to the start of the marathon this will leave Supervalu Glanmire at 12 noon we will return to Sars Hurling Club for beverages and free raffle with great prizes this year .

The future of services to children in Ireland is changing in line with the HSE’s plans for reconfiguration, this will happen over the next couple of years children’s services will change.  This project involves close collaboration from St. Joseph’s Foundation, HSE, and Enable Ireland.At the end of the process there should be a clear pathway for services for children with a disability, in their local area.  The teams will involve staff from each of these organisations working together to provide services to children in the North Cork area.

If your child attends any of the teams in St. Joseph’s Foundation, the HSE (Early Intervention Team) or Enable Ireland, or if your child has difficulties in more than one area of development you are invited to attend one of the information sessions.

Make A Wish

Make-A-Wish!!  We grant wishes to children between the ages of 3 – 18 with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength & joy.

For the third year running Make-A-Wish are excited to be taking part in the Cork Women’s Mini Marathon. This year we are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers in the Cork area to help us increase the number of participants running themini marathon for Make-A-Wish this year.

Title: Cork W omen’s Mini Marathon Volunteer Coordinator

Hours: 6-8 hours per week (or as much as you can do)
